Hana Mohammadi

Hana Mohammadi is a Project Manager, Clean Fuel Energy & Project Development at ClearBlue Markets, where she helps navigate clean fuel regulations, carbon markets, and low-carbon energy opportunities across North America. Her work focuses on carbon intensity modeling, life cycle assessment (LCA), clean fuel project development, and carbon market strategy under evolving regulatory frameworks. With a PhD in Environmental Engineering, postdoctoral research experience at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and more than a decade of experience spanning industry, academia, and government, Hana brings a multidisciplinary perspective to the energy transition. She specializes in life cycle assessment (LCA), low-carbon fuels, refinery decarbonization, carbon intensity modeling, and clean energy policy and regulations, helping clients evaluate pathways to reduce emissions while maintaining economic and operational performance.

Throughout her career, Hana has collaborated with fuel producers, technology developers, policymakers, regulators, research institutions, and investors to assess low-carbon fuel pathways, support regulatory compliance, evaluate project economics, and advance decarbonization strategies. She has led and contributed to projects with organizations including Parkland/Sunoco Refinery, the International Energy Agency (IEA), Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), the BC Bioenergy Network (BCBN), and the BC-SMART Consortium. Hana has delivered professional training in LCA, techno-economic assessment (TEA), carbon intensity modeling, and clean fuel regulations through programs offered by UBC and the BCBN), including instruction on GREET, GHGenius, and the ECCC Fuel LCA Model. Through these collaborations, she has supported the development of clean fuel pathways, carbon accounting methodologies, transportation decarbonization initiatives, and evidence-based climate and energy policies.
