Marcela joined ClearBlue Markets as Manager Carbon Project Development to identify offset potential in emission removal, avoidance, and reduction projects for development across compliance and voluntary markets. Marcela has more than a decade in the design of Nature-Based Solutions initiatives, especially carbon projects under the Voluntary Carbon Market, estimating GHG emissions reductions/removals, identifying indicators and generating recommendations for project owners. She also brings experience drafting adaptation and mitigation strategies and programs for companies to fight against climate change.
Marcela holds a master’s degree in environment and sustainable development from Montreal University and a bachelor’s degree in Forest engineering from the National University of Colombia.
